Our Statement of Faith
信仰告白 (英文)
1. The Bible of Truth
We believe that the bible, all sixty-six chapters of old and new testaments included, is the revelation of God. Therefore, the bible is both God’s will and revelation for the redemption of mankind - the ultimate authority guarding man’s life and faith without any error or inaccuracy.
2. The One and Only True God
We believe in the one and only God of eternity, the creator of Heaven and Earth, the overseer, redeemer and judge of humanity. He is perfect in every way, He is able to do all things, and He exists in eternity in the trinity form: The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. God is Three in One, with the same authority, glory and power.
3. The Christ of Eternity
We believe that the Lord Jesus is completely God and Man. Word became flesh, and Jesus was born from Virgin Mary through The Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a life of perfection on Earth and was crucified on the cross for our sins. He has risen from the dead, ascended to heaven, and is seated on the right-hand of God almighty. He is our Chief Priest, Mediator and King.
4. The Holy Spirit of Eternity
We believe that the work of Holy Spirit is to glorify and testify for Jesus Christ, to declare the sinful nature of man in this generation, to give new life to sinners, to dwell in Christians who have been born again, to lead and guide the believer to truth, and to allow the believer to receive power and gift in serving the church and living a godly life.
5. The Creation of Man
We believe that man was created according to the image of God, but the downfall of Adam became the downfall of mankind. The descendants of Adam are sinners and have all become slaves to sin and enemies of God. If it were not for God’s redemption, people would not have the ability to break free from the bondages of sin and death. Therefore, people do not have the ability to redeem themselves from God’s judgement.
6. The Redemption of Christ
We believe that redemption is completely reliant on God’s authority and grace, and has no correlation with one’s good deeds, works or religious practice. The only foundation of redemption and justification of mankind is built through Jesus Christ's death on the cross. Sinners can only obtain the faith to be saved, turn away from sin, repent and turn to Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, by believing in Christ, we can receive a new life and justification through faith. This allows us to reconcile with God, becoming holy and living in the Glory of God. Those who repent and believe in Christ shall receive eternal life and never perish.
7. The Church and Victory
We believe that the church is made up of Christians who have been saved and born again. All the saints become the body of Christ through the life of Christ, and with Jesus Christ as the head of the church. The mission of the church is to receive, glorify and become a testimony for Christ who has died, resurrected and risen. The church has the responsibility to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth, to have fellowship with and build up one another in the love of Christ, and to pursue spiritual growth by knowing our Lord Jesus. The church must rely on the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit to fulfil the will of God for His church.
8. Eternity in the Future
We believe in the physical revival of the human body. Believers of Jesus Christ will be forgiven and born again, living in the new heaven and earth in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and God to enjoy everlasting blessing and joy. Non-believers will be judged and, with their sins unforgiven, be punished with eternal suffering in hell.
9. The Second Coming of Christ Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ, who has resurrected, will come again in glory according to the prophecy recorded in the Bible. He will judge both the dead and alive and bring all who are saved into the eternal glory of God. This glorious hope is the foundation of a Christian's life and their service.
